Move of the Month (M.O.M) = Shoulder Bridge
A kickass exercise to fire up the entire back line of your body, AND you get to lie down while executing it! I've said it before and I'll say it a million more times, my favourite thing about Pilates is the fact that every single exercise is working the entire body. I'm a fan of efficiency and the Pilates method is the definition of exactly that. During this entire exercise, check-in to make sure you are pressing down with your arms and your grounded foot and success shall be yours.

M.O.M = Hundred (Happy Birthday Joseph Pilates)
I'm convinced this is Joseph Pilates favourite creation. He not only made it an integral part of his mat work, but he also developed it for each piece of apparatus! Therefore I thought it only fitting to make this video in honour of his birthday December 9th. A great warm-up exercise and a fantastic tool to teach you how to breathe easily & expansively, ensuring you use your lungs to their full capacity. Have difficulty holding your legs straight out the entire time? Reduce your counts & hold them out there for only half the time or less, until your endurance increases and then gradually increase your counts. Or take advantage of the many great modification options.

M.O.M = Seated Roll Down/Up
Spinal articulation is like a massage for your spine & an essential movement pattern to keep your spine mobile and functioning optimally. Your goal is to move through each vertebra one at a time and create space between them, leaving you with a longer spine. Watch you don't hit your head on the ceiling thanks to your new, taller spine after performing this move!
